Chloride Motive Power has won the prestigious Institute of Transport Management award for ‘Innovation for Technological Service 2007’ for its Liberator battery range. The company was recognised by the institute for its ‘top quality production values, and a commitment to high levels of customer and environmental standards’.
The Liberator range provides three battery solutions for motive power cells, simplifying the choices available to customers - Silver, Gold and the ultimate solution, Platinum. Liberator Silver offers up to 120 days between maintenance intervals. The range consists of an extensive choice of DIN and BS cell options in a low maintenance (LM) design due to its low antimony alloy and sophisticated charging technology. The Liberator Gold solution offers up to 200 days between maintenance intervals from a range of DIN cells with reduced plate height and low antimony alloy. Electronic components ensure efficient and safe operation.
Liberator Platinum offers a totally hands-off solution in which CMP Service Technicians will carry out every aspect of the maintenance and servicing regime. The service complies with BS EN ISO 9001:2000. All Liberator options are compatible with one of Chloride Motive Powers battery management systems to ensure that the status of the battery fleet is continually monitored.
CMP’s Nigel Darke comments “We are very honoured to have received this recognition for the ongoing technological development at Chloride Motive Power. This award is the result of many years of research and development which not only improves the efficiency of our products, but allows customers to make a more informed choice regarding energy output and recyclability. By looking at whole life costs as opposed to simply looking at the initial capital outlay, organisations can make big energy savings and reduce their carbon footprint.”
