Tell us about YASA.

YASA stands at the leading edge of e-motor innovation and development, specialising in advanced axial flux motor technology. Our motors deliver up to four times the power of those used in nearly all electric vehicles on the market today, while being approximately 50 per cent smaller and lighter, making them highly efficient and space-saving. This unique combination of power and compactness makes our motors ideal for high-performance applications across multiple sectors.

With our technology already integrated into some of the most forward-looking electric motor applications, YASA is now poised to grow further as part of Mercedes-Benz. Our team of over 500 skilled engineers, designers, and innovators operates from facilities in Oxfordshire and Welshpool, where we are developing the next generation of axial flux e-motors and control systems.

In early 2026, YASA will expand to a new, purpose-built facility located just north of Bicester, designed to foster further collaboration and innovation in e-motor technology. This state-of-the-art site will bring together the majority of our team, offering a cutting-edge environment tailored for advanced engineering, research, and development. At YASA, we are passionate about pushing the boundaries of electric mobility, and our upcoming move reflects our commitment to continued growth and technological leadership.
