A compact, multi-code reader which is capable of processing up to 40 frames per second, even of different code types, is the latest introduction to the BAUMER Smart Vision Range of Sensors. The IDC200 Reader combines an ultra-compact design with the highest levels of reliability which results in impressive reading rates of all conventional 1D/2D codes, even in demanding manufacturing conditions.
The bright integrated illumination will solve the most challenging applications without the need for any external illumination helping to reduce time and costs. The issues of reflective surfaces, changing light conditions or module sizes at the minimum resolution limit, are no problem for the IDC200, which is also capable of directly reading marked and dot peening codes.
The Baumer design team place great emphasis on fast integration and easy commissioning and this is possible using the USB-C port which helps the multi-code reader to be easily connected to a computer and activated via a web interface. Thanks to an Auto-setup feature, just one click will enable reading of multiple different codes. In addition, the space-saving housing and matching accessories, Ethernet and USB-C interfaces and TCP/IP, Profinet and DIO protocols, ensure easy code reader integration.
Freely configurable data telegrams mean easy integration of the IDC200 reader into existing systems, whether the reader is chosen to resolve a specific task or is used for general code reading, customer requirements can be quickly identified without the need for on-the-spot device tests.
This innovative range of multi-code readers will be suitable for a wide range of applications. For example, quality control in assembly or tracking tasks in intra-logistics as well as shop floor processes with all their individual or special requirements.
In electronics manufacturing codes on PCB’s are usually tiny and often lasered, or require dot peening directly onto the boards. With the IDC200 reader, codes can be quickly and reliably read with a module size of up to 0.03mm (1D) or 0.07mm (2D). Furthermore, in applications such as intralogistics, the ultra-compact reader can be easily integrated, even in confined spaces, for example in AGVs.
