HBM – a market leader in the field of test and measurement – is pleased to announce the dates for its latest series of free webinars, which take place in April 2018.
For those interested in the revolutionary eDrive system for testing electrical convertors and electrical machines from HBM, “Real Time Analysis of Electric Drives” takes place on Tuesday 17th April 2018.
The powerful eDrive solution from HBM continually saves, at high resolution, all the raw data relevant to increasing efficiency as well as electrical currents, voltage, torque, rotational speed and even engine temperature. Furthermore, all important power values are displayed in real time as with a power meter. Using powerful computer functions and a formula database, analysis can be performed directly in the measurement system while measurements are still running. This means that analysis such as the determination of equivalent circuit diagrams or direct-quadrature-zero (dq0) transformation is just a few of the practically unlimited possibilities.
Hosted by Klaus Land, Product Manager at HBM, participants of this webinar will explain how d,q-currents are computed and motor maps are created in real time. Furthermore, it will also highlight how easy it is to analyse 6 phase machines and expand on the possibilities of creating your own formulas for real time calculations. In this informative webinar, participants are also given the opportunity to learn more about the possibilities to upscale a power analyser from an entry level system for portable use to a rack mount system with up to 6 torque / speed inputs.
On Wednesday 18th April 2018, join Dr André Schäfer, Development Manager for High-Precision Measurement Chains at HBM, as he provides a general introduction to strain-gauge based “Precision Measurement Chains” and explains how to select the right reference transducers (force, torque and pressure). Designed for those who would like a brief introduction to precision transducers and precision bridge amplifiers, individuals can also get up speed with DMP41, which is the world’s most accurate amplifier for strain gauge measurements and QuantumX MX238B, which is a 2-channel module with an accuracy class of 25 ppm.
And finally, to understand more about high precision torque sensors for your application, “High Precision Torque Sensor for all Tasks”, which takes place on Friday 20th April 2018, Michael Guckes, Product M Manager Industrial Process Control and Industrial Amplifiers at HBM explains the benefits of using a high precision torque sensor for different testing tasks and shows how to interpret the measured values. This 20 minute webinar will guide individuals through the principle and advantages of high precision torque sensors and will look at the reduction of numbers of torque sensors for testing and discuss the easy handling and interpretation of measuring values.
Designed to fit in with challenging time constraints which can often make attending relevant training courses difficult each webinar, which is 30 minutes or under, can be easily accessed at a later date or simply used as a refresher course. As an added benefit, all registered participants will receive a link to the webinar, via email, after the presentation. All HBM webinars are free of charge. However, spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. Please reserve your space by booking at http://www.hbm.com/en/3157/webinars/
