April 19th 2023 – Stand G11 will see a host of reliable, cost-effective water and wastewater industry solutions designed to meet operators’ most stringent needs. A major feature of the equipment on show will be Atlas Copco’s compact ZS 4 VSD+ oil-free, low-pressure, rotary screw blowers.
The ZS 4 VSD+ unit on display delivers 30 per cent more flow in comparison to Atlas Copco’s current ZS VSD models, and to other traditional blowers on the market. The blowers incorporate a fully integrated, in-house designed Neos inverter to optimise airflow, in tandem with the blower’s iPM drive motor, to ensure the ZS4’s performance is the most energy-efficient - even when running at partial load. At the same time, the blowers’ footprint has been reduced by 50 per cent to allow for easy installation in any existing blower room.
The introduction of these innovative units has set a new operating standard, as they can be used up to a working pressure of 1.5 bar, a level which up to now could only be reached by custom-designed machines.
For blower applications requiring less than 1.5 bar pressure the accompanying Atlas Copco ZS 18 VSD rotary screw blower can save up to 35-40% of energy consumption compared to lobe or roots style technology.
For water industry operators, generating their own on-site oxygen means avoiding the burden of processing, refills, and delivery costs. The primary benefit of Atlas Copco’s on-site OGP+ 12 oxygen generator, to be seen on the stand, is a 30% greater efficiency at full load than any traditional generator. A unit which, thanks to its innovative Variable Cycle Saver technology, can offer up to 70% in additional energy savings when oxygen demand is low.
Operating with Pressure Swing Adsorption technology, the small footprint OGP+12 generators bring real performance and efficiency improvements combined with minimal operating and maintenance costs.
Completing the scope of the Atlas Copco equipment on show is the new E-pump range of fully electric self-priming dewatering pumps, which is ideally suited for many applications including sewage bypass, and successfully manages demanding flows and large solids with a reduced CO2 footprint and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
