MoDhas awarded a contract to a
Thales UKand
Boeingpartnership for the System of Systems Integrator (SOSI) role on the Future Rapid Effect System (FRES) programme.
The initial six-month contract, valued at £4m will establish the framework for the programme, which will provide the British Army with a new family of medium-weight, network-enabled armoured vehicles.
The Thales UK-Boeing SOSI team will be integrated into the MoD’s FRES project team to deliver FRES. The SOSI will carry out programme management, system of systems engineering and integration, through-life capability and technology management, alliance development and supply chain management and the development of MoD's SOSI competence.
