The system, which was installed by Siemens in 2002, includes 62 check-in desks, three kilometres of conveyor belts with a throughput of 4,000 pieces of baggage per hour and a total of seven baggage x-ray systems. Thanks to a remote monitoring and diagnostics system, spare parts supply and an IT-supported maintenance system, Siemens aims to provide permanent availability based on an agreed performance level.
