The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP) recently placed a €189m order with Alstom Transport, Bombardier Transportation and AREVA for 49 MF2000 metro trains.
Project leader Alstom Transport will receive €116m whilst Bombardier Transportation and AREVA will receive €63m and €10m respectively.

Alstom Transport will provide the overall project management for producing the trains through its Centre of Excellence for metros in Valenciennes-Petite Forêt. It will supply the different components and sub-assemblies for energy production, traction-braking systems and comfort IT systems, manufactured in its plants in Ornans,
Bombardier Transportation France, located in Crespin in the Valenciennois region, will supply driver cabs, bogies and painted car bodies.
AREVA will supply the IT security system, the operating parameter recorders and the truck/train data transmission systems and will take part in acoustic and vibration studies.
