The contract is valued at approximately $43m and includes the supply of ten Bombardier CX-100 vehicles and upgrades to some of the electrical and mechanical equipment on shuttle legs C and D. The APM vehicles will be delivered between 2008 and 2009.

This work is in addition to the contract awarded to Bombardier in June 2006 for six new CX-100 vehicles and an underground shuttle system that is scheduled to connect Terminal 3 with the existing D-gate concourse in January 2011. All CX-100 vehicles will incorporate new features, such as on-board security cameras and flight information displays.

Bombardier has supplied and maintained the shuttle systems at the airport since the first system, leg C, opened in 1985, which has already surpassed one million miles of service. The second system, leg D, opened in 1998.
