Med-Tech Innovation Expo announced as sponsor at 2024 C2I awards

The Med-Tech Innovation Expo has been unveiled as the sponsor of the Healthcare & Medical category of The Engineer's ninth annual Collaborate To Innovate Awards

We're delighted to announce that the Med-Tech Innovation Expo is sponsoring the Medical and Healthcare category of The Engineer's 2024 Collaborate To Innovate Awards.  

Commenting on Med Tech's support for the competition Charlotte Penny, Group Conference & Marketing manager for Rapid News Group said:  Given that the Med-Tech Innovation Expo brings together leaders, innovators, and engineers, we thought it would be entirely appropriate to be a sponsor at the 2025 C2I Awards We are looking forward to celebrating some of the UK’s most innovative and inspiring examples of engineering collaboration.”

Med-Tech Innovation Expo is the UK & Ireland's leading event for medical device manufacturing. Next year's expo takes place at the NEC, Birmigham from 4th - 5th June. 

The Engineer’s editor Jon Excell added: “Since the launch of C2I almost a decade ago, the medical and healthcare category has uncovered a wide array of inspiring and genuinely life-changing innovations and we're delighted that Med Tech has chosen to support this important award."

Now in it's ninth year, the C2I awards was established to celebrate collaborative and innovative technology led projects across all of the key industrial sectors. In addition to this - through its Young Innovator Award - also shines a light on the innovators of tomorrow by celebrating outstanding school engineering projects. 

Entries will be judged by a panel of industry leaders including Neil Young - Babcock International; Professor Danielle George – University of Manchester; Professor Sir Iain Gray – Cranfield University;  Gareth D Jones – BAE Systems; Abbie Hutty - iSpace Europe, Dr Andy Lawrence – EPSRC and Rebecca Everitt – Engineering UK.

Alongside Med-Tech, other sponsors and supporters include: Babcock International Group, Hays, Lucideon,  Schneider ElectricEngineering UK and EPSRC.

The winners of this year's competition, which is now closed for entries, will be revealed at a drinks reception on the evening of Thursday 27th February at One Great George Street, London.
