We're delighted to announce recruitment specialist Hays as sponsor of the Young Innovator category at The Engineer's ninth annual C2I Awards.
Commenting on Hays' support for this year's competition Paul Gibbens, Hays' National Specialism Director for Engineering said: I’m thrilled that Hays is once again sponsoring the Young Innovator of the Year category at the annual Collaborate to Innovate Awards, which celebrates some of the UK’s most inspiring examples of engineering collaboration," said Paul Gibbens
Now in it's ninth year, the C2I awards was established to celebrate collaborative and innovative technology led projects across all of the key industrial sectors. In addition to this - through its Young Innovator Award - also shines a light on the innovators of tomorrow by celebrating outstanding school engineering projects.
"We see the Young Innovator of the Year Award as particularly special" said Gibbens, "because it spotlights outstanding examples of school engineering projects – in the process recognising the achievements of tomorrow’s engineers and helping them realise the potential and promise a career in engineering brings. I can’t wait to see what entries we receive this year and look forward to celebrating with the winners at the awards party in February 2025!"
Commenting on this year’s awards, The Engineer’s editor Jon Excell said: “Collaboration is critical to solving some of the biggest challenges we face and the C2I awards was set up to celebrate this. Myself and the C2I judging panel are really excited about seeing what fascinating projects and innovations this year’s competition uncovers.”
Entries will be judged by a panel of industry leaders including Neil Young - Babcock International; Professor Danielle George – University of Manchester; Professor Sir Iain Gray – Cranfield University; Gareth D Jones – BAE Systems; Abbie Hutty - iSpace Europe, Dr Andy Lawrence – EPSRC and Rebecca Everitt – Engineering UK.
Alongside Hays other sponsors and supporters include: Babcock International Group, Lucideon, Med-Tech, Schneider Electric, Engineering UK and EPSRC.
The winners of this year's competition, which is now closed for entries, will be revealed at a drinks reception on the evening of Thursday 27th February at One Great George Street, London.
