Global engineering and project management company, AMEC, has been awarded a technical consultancy contract by Kazakhstan oil company, JSC Nation Company KazMunayGas (KMG).

Global engineering and project management company AMEC has been awarded a technical consultancy contract by Kazakhstan oil company JSC Nation Company KazMunayGas (KMG).

The contract involves consultancy services related to field development planning, programme management and implementation of KMG's oil and gas assets.

AMEC will oversee services including field development plans through design and layouts, operating budgets and schedules, health, safety and environmental reviews and evaluation.

Neil Bruce, chief operating office of AMEC’s natural resources division, said: ‘We are delighted to be appointed to support KMG in this exciting and complex programme of work.

‘Within the Caspian region we already have well-established oil and gas operations.

‘This award supports AMEC's strategy of building long-term sustainable business relationships with national oil companies.
