Bombardier Aerospace
announced yesterday that
Air Oneof Rome, Italy, has signed a contract to acquire six 90-passenger Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets. Air One has also taken options on four additional CRJ900 aircraft.
The list price value for the aircraft on firm order is approximately $215 million.
Air One joins partner airline Lufthansa, Air Nostrum and Atlasjet as European customers for the CRJ900 regional jet. Air One is
’s second-largest airline and recently placed an order for 30 Airbus A320 aircraft to replace the 30 Boeing 737 currently in service with the airline.
Bombardier Aerospace, the world’s third-largest manufacturer of civil aircraft, had by January 31, 2006, delivered close to 2,100 regional aircraft to airlines around the world.
