The SR series inverter is designed to convert 24V or 48V DC power to a continuous AC output for telecom, IT and industrial applications. It is 1U high and is supplied with mounting brackets for fitting into a 19in rack if required. The SR inverter includes a powerful digital signal processor with intelligent control software that allows easy programming of the main parameters via the front-panel keypad and LCD display; this can also be done remotely via RS-232.
The DC-AC inverter system is designed with advanced microprocessor technology and power electronics. The inverter features IGBT technology which, minimises size and weight, while enhancing output short circuit reliability and overload capacity.
The SR Series Inverters are designed to operate in one of two user selectable modes:
- Off-line/bypass mode: AC power is supplied from the incoming AC supply in normal operation with the inverter taking over in the event of a failure of the incoming AC supply.
- On-line mode: AC Output power is always supplied from the incoming DC supply. In the event of an incoming DC failure AC power will be supplied in bypass mode (if available).
In both cases, operation will revert to default once the incoming supply has been restored. Operation with the AC source is synchronised at all times allowing the transfer to be interruption-free for sensitive equipment.
The inverter is equipped with a self-diagnostic microprocessor that is able to identify and show all failure messages on the LED/LCD display, with associated visual/audio alarms. The fan is fully monitored; any air flow restriction or fan failure will result in an alarm.
By combining the SR inverter with a suitable battery charger a fully backed system can be created.
