Knowsley-based Precision Pneumatics has been nominated Distributor of the Year 2018 by Atlas Copco Compressors. Congratulating the company on its performance results, Stef Lievens, Business Line Manager, Atlas Copco Compressors’ Industrial Air Division commented: “The company’s solid performance and double-digit growth on all business lines was the basis of our decision for this year’s award.”
The company has been an Atlas Copco Compressors’ Premier Distributor since its inception in 1991, with a sales territory covering Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales. For most of its 28 years in business, Precision Pneumatics has been among the top three performers within the nationwide network. This status has been achieved through the enterprise and hard work of the 26-strong admin, sales and service team, which operates from the company’s purpose built, 12,550 sq. ft. premises in Knowsley, near Liverpool.
Design, supply, installation and servicing of industrial compressor systems and equipment was the major contributor to the company’s sales growth last year, with additional revenue derived from quality air accessories, nitrogen and oxygen generators; as well as rotary screw vacuum pumps.
Much of the company’s business success can be attributed to the level of customer care, communication and feedback that is central to Precision Pneumatics’ approach. As a compressor and pneumatics total solutions provider, close technical dialogue, energy audits and advice on cost savings, efficiency and productivity play a key role in the company’s customer relations.
As company founder and managing director, Phil Hood explains: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the prestigious Distributor of the Year title. This achievement has been made possible by the hard work and commitment of our entire team. We have always been proud to offer complete compressed air solutions and have achieved consistent growth by building relationships with our customers.”
Hood continued: “This means that we look to do more than just sell products: our customers consistently tell us how happy they are with our after-sales care, servicing and maintenance offer. Combining this with best-in-class Atlas Copco products allows us to work with our customers to help them increase efficiency and reduce their production lifecycle costs.”
