HBM has released an upgrade of Perception software, an easy to use software programme for high-speed data and CANbus signals.
Specifically designed to meet the needs of ultra-high-speed data acquisition applications, the latest Perception software is suitable for extremely high measuring rate tasks and processing large quantities of data.
Expanding the scope of application, the latest software enables CANbus signals by the QuantumX MX471B module, which has four CAN interfaces, to read CAN, CCP and xCP-on-CAN messages. Furthermore the Ethernet-based PTP protocol can be used for synchronisation with Genesis high-speed instruments.
Easy to use, the new software also enables users to conveniently configure user keys so multiple commands can be combined and assigned to one user key; for example, over 20 different cursor navigation commands can be set for different displays and configured for simultaneously transferring values to data sources and a log file. Once a user key has been set, it can be simply clicked to perform a whole list of actions in Perception, therefore saving valuable minutes of test time. Another advantage to this means there is no limit to the number of user keys, so users can set up a wide variety of helpful keystrokes.
Designed for fast and reliable processing of large quantities of data, Perception software is ideal for use with the data acquisition devices of the Genesis High-Speed family. The Genesis High-Speed range of transient recorders and data acquisition systems share the highest sample rates and mid to high channel counts. Based on modular platforms, all models can be configured to the need of the application, be it a single channel or a thousand. All systems in the Genesis High-Speed range from HBM are available out-of-the-box and ready to use immediately.
