tesa has made an addition to its UK sales team with the appointment of Eric McLean as sales area manager for the Northern region.
Eric, 52 from Prestwick, has over 30 years of experience working within the electronic materials and substrates industry. After graduating in Chemistry at the University of the West of Scotland, his first role was as process engineer for Prestwick Circuits Ltd. He subsequently moved into a sales engineering role with Prestwick, both in the USA and UK.
From 1990 Eric gained valuable commercial experience working in various sales management and business development roles for high profile organisations such as DuPont Electronic Materials, supporting the company’s key customers including Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Diabetes Care, Bosch and Continental.
In his new role at tesa, Eric is responsible for servicing the company’s existing customers and developing new relationships throughout the North of England, Scotland, Ireland and Ireland. He will be no doubt be drawing on his vast knowledge to meet and exceed his personal objectives and tesa’s mission to making a measurable contribution to the drive for innovation in British industry.
Eric is looking forward to developing in his new appointment, saying: “tesa has given me the opportunity to utilise the account management and business development skills I have gained over many years working in a professional and technical environment. I look forward to developing the business and exploring new applications for tesa products in the region”.
