Mouser Electronics is now stocking the MPLAB Xpress development board from Microchip Technology. The board provides a full-featured development platform for Microchip’s MPLAB Xpress integrated development environment (IDE), a simplified version of the MPLAB X IDE.
The Microchip MPLAB Xpress development board, now available from Mouser Electronics, offers a plug-and-play hardware solution for the full-featured, web-based MPLAB IDE. The board features an onboard Microchip PIC16F18855, a versatile 8-bit microcontroller for low-power applications, which engineers can access through the board’s breakout headers.
The board includes additional headers compatible with the MikroElektronika mikroBUS Click board system, allowing engineers to experiment with wireless connectivity, sensors, electromechanical functionality, and more, without requiring additional hardware configuration. Engineers can also take advantage of the board’s pre-wired LEDs, pushbutton switches, and potentiometer for quick prototyping.
The MPLAB Xpress IDE is a great starting point for new users of Microchip’s PIC microcontrollers. It requires no downloads and no machine configuration, helping users quickly get started on their system development. MPLAB Xpress incorporates the latest version of MPLAB Code Configurator, which enables users to automatically generate initialisation and application C code for 8-bit microcontrollers using a graphical interface and pin map.
