Relec has teamed up with Premium to offer a range of 260VA to 3,000VA industrial DC AC inverters.
There are four, single-phase output models from 260VA up to 3,000VA, and one three-phase output model of 3,000VA, however all single-phase models from 750VA and above have the facility of connecting three units together to create a synchronised three-phase system up to 9,000VA.
Each model has versions for dc inputs of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V and 110V, the 260VA OCS-260, 750VA ODS-750 and 1,500VA ODS-1500 units are also available to run from 12Vdc. Railway-approved versions to EN50155 are available for all models.
The 1,500VA, and both single- (ODS-3000) and three-phase 3,000VA models have RS232 ports for remote control and monitoring. The 3,000VA three-phase ODX-3000 also has a motor control capability; this includes RS232 programmable soft start; rotational direction and rotational speed control.
All units are chassis mountable; the 260VA has an optional 3U 10TE front panel for 19in sub-rack mounting; the 260VA and 750VA can also be DIN rail mounted using optional baseplate and DIN rail brackets.
Conversion efficiencies are excellent, ranging from 85 to 91 per cent. All models can operate between -20ºC and +70ºC at 50 per cent load, reducing to -20ºC to +55ºC at full load. The OCS-750 has an extended operation down to -40ºC in certain conditions. The OCS-260 is convection cooled, all other models have internal variable speed fan cooling.
Every model has remote inhibit as standard, battery under-voltage protection, input-output isolation of 3kV and output overload protection. The 260VA has internal fusing for input protection as do the 36, 48, 72 & 110V units of the 750VA but all other models should be protected by an external input fuse. All standard products have a three-year warranty, for the railway versions the warranty is five years.
