Essentra PLC, a global leader in industrial components, will launch a pioneering innovation in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic materials next year, aimed at helping manufacturers reduce single-use plastics and enhance sustainability.
Developed at the company’s Centre of Excellence in Kidlington, UK, the initiative builds on extensive trials of 36 materials in the past year, including PCR plastics, Nylon, bio-woods, and Polylactic Acids (PLA). A standout project involves seaweed-derived bioplastics, created in partnership with start-up FlexSea, to explore their potential for a new product range.
