HBM has announced its latest range of customisable force sensors.
Traditionally, a time-consuming task because of the increasing miniaturisation of systems and connectors, together with a growing number of channels, the electrical installation and parameterisation of force sensors in an amplifier system can now be made simple with the latest ‘easy to order’ principle from HBM.
Based on individual user requirements, HBM customers can now save time by opting for the latest ‘ready-to-install’ force sensors, which allow cable length and the appropriate plug for the amplifier, to be specified. Furthermore, customers can select the option of TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) for automated parameterisation of the measuring chain.
Providing significant cost savings and short set up times, TEDS technology enable force sensors to come complete with all the calibration data saved in the memory, such as serial number and type designation – just like a finger tip. This means that the amplifier system is able to read the chip automatically and parameterise the measurement module with the correct sensor data, quickly and effectively eliminating entry errors.
The new options for convenient assembly are now available for almost all sensors from HBM, as are connector variants for nearly all HBM measurement force modules.
