Announcing the move today (4th Oct), the industrial gas giant said Sheikh’s new role will see him leave his current position as Liquid Bulk Business Development Manager in the East Region.
Having been with Air Products since 2019, Sheikh holds a wealth of experience working both within the energy industry and the Air Products team.
On his appointment, Sheikh said, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Hydrogen or Mobility team at Air Products. It’s a particularly interesting time for the transport industry as the use of hydrogen becomes more popular, helping eliminate or significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
“We have seen recently, with the launch of the UK governments first-ever Hydrogen Strategy, just how critical the use of hydrogen is to achieving the country’s net zero goal.”
“As we work towards a cleaner future for everyone, I feel proud to be playing my part in achieving that.”
Manish Patel, New Business Development On-Sites and Hydrogen for Mobility at Air Products, added, “I am pleased to welcome Shahid into a new role within the Hydrogen Mobility team, which is an important step in growing our business and driving future growth in the UK and Ireland.”
“He’s a fantastic addition to our team, bring with him an excellent understanding of the industry and great experience working in the industrial gases sector.”
“At Air Products, we’ve been involved in more than ten million hydrogen vehicle fills across the world, so I’m excited to be working with Shahid to build upon the key work we’re doing in the hydrogen sector.”
