Your report on Russia’s plans to set up a mine on the moon (The Big Picture, 30 January) was a little too credulous.

Set up a base on the moon by 2015? Really? The last time I heard, the Russian space industry was bankrupt and barely managing to keep its existing projects running, let alone get a full-scale building operation up and running on the moon within 10 years.

Maybe they will surprise us all, but I think you have been spun a bit of a line here.
