In response to Tony Oliver's comments (
Talking Point, 7 May), a certain meteor strike did occur within the time mentioned, causing millions upon millions of tonnes of gases and pollutants to be thrown skywards. 'Armageddon? Bah, humbug!' I bet the dinosaurs didn't think that at the time.
