With nuclear energy back in the news and talk of a possible new programme for the UK, the nuclear industry and the government must realise what a job they have on their hands to restore the battered reputation of this technology.
A good start would be to bring to the public’s attention the way other nations have embraced nuclear power and the contribution it makes to their economies.
A notable example would be France, which will have to worry far less about meeting its future energy needs because of its comprehensive and long-standing nuclear programme.
