As part of a £7.8m project to install a dehumidification system to protect the main cables from corroding on the Forth Road Bridge, contractors C. Spencer Ltd are applying Winn & Coales Denso Tape and Denso Ultraseal AL Tape to protect the hanger cables at the cable bands. Denso Ultraseal AL Tape is a cold applied self-adhesive tape with a weather and ultra violet resistant aluminium backing. It was specifically developed by Winn & Coales for the long term corrosion protection of above ground pipework and structural steel.
