The Hoverbike which was on display at last week’s Paris Air Show is being eyed up by the US as a potential new class of Tactical Reconnaissance Vehicle (TRV).
According to Malloy’s website the bike – which is claimed to relatively easy to fly - has been developed with a number of applications in mind including search and rescue, aerial surveying and military services.
The Berkshire firm says that the vehicle has so far performed well in limited ground tests where it has so far operated in a tethered mode. Ultimately, it expects the device to be capable of flying at around 150knts at heights of upto 10,000 ft.
