COE Group
, a developer and supplier of integrated IP video surveillance systems, has signed a contract to renew the operational and security video systems of the
Port of Singapore Authority(PSA).
This win, after a lengthy competitive process, is Leeds-based COE's largest contract in four years. The PSA is the world's largest container transhipment hub and handled around 27 million containers last year.
The present project is for a 1,100 camera system and it is expected that it will largely be installed by the end of 2008 with potential for further expansions in future years.
The COE system, to be provided through the company’s local partner O'Connor's, is an integrated IP surveillance solution including COE's VMS control room software, X-Net Video Intelligence (Video Content Analysis) for increasing operator efficiency, and recording systems. Video transmission, camera control and redundancy are provided by COE's H.264 codecs and COE's X-Net fibre transmission system.
The X-Net Video Intelligence system results from a partnership with Agent-VI, a specialist in video content analysis.
