Global underwater engineering company
Subsea 7has announced a one-year inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) contract with TAQA Bratani, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company.
The contract will involve the provision of project management, dive support, engineering and remote intervention services to support TAQA’s northern North Sea assets.
The deal comes after TAQA announced the acquisition of six offshore field and two non-operated subsea tie-backs in the northern North Sea from Shell UK and Esso Exploration.
Robin Davies, Subsea 7's North Sea vice president, said: ‘The award of another significant subsea services agreement with a leading oil and gas operator further consolidates Subsea 7's position as the Subsea Partner of Choice. We look forward to building positive and rewarding relationships with TAQA, especially in what is an exciting time for TAQA as it reaches another important milestone on its journey in the North Sea oil and gas industry.’
A Subsea 7 project team, based in the company's new Aberdeen office, has begun work scopes under the frame agreement.
