SNCF orders AGC trains

This firm order follows the announced selection of Bombardier by SNCF in September 2001 for the supply of 500 high capacity AGC type trains.
According to Bombardier, the AGC can run on diesel, electricity or a combination of the two, and also on a dual mode/dual voltage (diesel fuel and electricity 1.5 kV and 25 kV). The new order from the SNCF includes dual mode/dual voltage trains.
