Owned and operated by Seabank Power, the combined-cycle gas turbine power station has two modules with an overall capacity of 1,155MW. Siemens will supply parts and repair and service the plant’s equipment on both modules, with the contract expected to run until 2018.
All field service and onshore project management activities will be coordinated by Siemens in the UK.
Stuart Mayer, Seabank general manager, said: ‘By extending our long-term partnership with Siemens until at least 2018, we can expect that the plant will be maintained to the highest standard, allowing us to provide a much-needed flexible and reliable electricity generation capacity.’
