The Shaw Group
announced today that its Shaw Stone & Webster business unit's technology has been selected for a new grassroots ethylene plant by Liaoning Huajin Chemicals Corporation (LHC).
The ethylene plant is expected to have an annual capacity of 450,000 metric tons. It will be constructed as part of a major expansion to LHC's petrochemical facility in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, China.
Under this contract, Shaw will provide the process design package, including related engineering and detailed design services for key components.
Together with the engineering package, Shaw will also supply its proprietary equipment, technical services and training to the client during the execution of the project. The value of Shaw's contract was not disclosed.
