EDF Energy Networks, has announced that it will be installing
GE Energy’s power distribution management software system to help manage its
electricity distribution network.
The software is expected to improve the reliability of power supply by identifying faults and rerouting power where required.
This comes as part of EDF’s integration strategy, which also includes the streamlining of its services to a single operating centre.

The distribution management system is part of GE’s smart grid portfolio, which also includes smart meters, capacitors and geospatial software.
