A dimethyl silicone compound, 4 Electrical Insulating Compound lubricates and forms a moisture-proof, electrically-insulating seal for spark plug connections, electrical connections, and electrical assemblies and terminals. Also, it can seal and lubricate cable connectors, battery terminals, rubber door seals, and rubber and plastic O-rings, and can be used as an assembly lubricant in metal-on-plastic and metal-on-rubber combinations.
4 Electrical Insulating Compound is resistant to a wide range of organic and inorganic chemicals, as well as mineral oils, vegetable oils, air, dilute acids, alkalines and most aqueous solutions. Odourless, practically non-volatile, non-toxic and non-melting, the compound has excellent release and sealing properties and shows little tendency to dry out in service. It maintains serviceable consistency from -57 to 204°C.
