The order covers 300 Volvo FM trailer trucks powered by the D13 engine with a power output of 440hp. The new Volvo FM will also have the latest-generation I-Shift, Volvo’s automatic gear changing system.
Deliveries of the new Volvo FM trucks will start at the end of May 2007 and will be completed during the first quarter of 2008.
Last year Volvo trucks sales in
almost doubled to 2,500 new units. Today about 31,000 Volvo trucks are used on Russian roads, corresponding to 23% of the total foreign-make heavy trucks fleet.
