The US Navy has awarded Raytheon a $24.4m contract to equip Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F Super Hornets with the ALR-67(V)3 digital radar warning receiver.
As part of the first international sale of the ALR-67(V)3 contract, 24 radar warning receivers will be delivered to the RAAF.
The receiver is designed to be fitted on Navy F/A-18E/F carrier-based tactical aircraft.
The latest order follows on from a contract awarded to Raytheon to supply 55 radar warning receivers plus spares for the RAAF’s Australia Hornet upgrade program.
Raytheon will deliver the receiver between October 2009 and September 2010.
