QinetiQ has been awarded an £800,000 contract to provide Swedish defence procurement agency FMV with verification and validation support on a variety of interoperability functions. The contract is the next phase in an ongoing programme and affects FMV’s Link-16 tactical datalink, electromagnetic compatibility assurance, secure voice and identification 'friend or foe' (IFF) programmes.
Over the past three years QinetiQ has successfully supported FMV on the concept and planning phases of its interoperability programme through successive contracts worth over £1 million in total. As FMV moves into the acquisition phase, QinetiQ has been engaged to help in test planning and preparation.
