Power for fenland wind farm

Econnect Construction has secured a contract with Dean and Dyball Construction for the electrical works at Ranson Moor wind farm near March in Cambridgeshire.

The project will consist of three Gamesa G80 2MW turbines connected at 33kV. According to a statement, Econnect Construction’s design will allow for further expansion by the owner, Fenpower.

Econnect Construction’s scope of work will include the contestable works for the project.

Construction will begin in July 2006 and first energisation of the site is scheduled for March 2007.

Ranson Moor marks the first project for the Econnect Construction and Dean and Dyball Construction partnership which is looking to build future projects in England and Wales.
