Fluor Corporation
has been awarded a contract to provide maintenance support services for major outage work at the Plant Barry coal-fired electric generating plant near
for Alabama Power. Contract value to Fluor was not disclosed and was booked in the company's first quarter.
Under terms of the multi-year contract, Fluor will supply supervision and craft personnel to assist Alabama Power's maintenance group in performing major repair outage work. Peak employment is expected to reach approximately 350.
