Rittal’s new TopConsole offers a universal workstation comprising of three modules: pedestal, desk unit and console from which a tailored interface between man and machine can be created. New features of the TopConsole include an additional 600mm compact version, 10% of extra space for installation within the lid and new mounting plates that can incorporate 400mm variants. Flexible and adaptable, the new TopConsole range also includes new partial mounting plates available as extras in 200 and 500mm widths that can be bay-fitted together to suit any installation requirement.
TopConsole is available in a variety of different dimensions, 800, 1200 and 1600mm and the new 600mm compact version. Installation opportunities have now been optimised across the range, giving an extra 10% of space within the lid to provide more room for components compared to previous models. The lid also now features a new closing mechanism design which uses only one point of contact, rather than the standard three and is now integrated into the handle strip.
The lower part of the console now contains a new mounting plate system that can be slotted deeply and easily into the enclosure in a 25mm pitch pattern – even with 400mm long variants. In addition the sides are ready for system rails to be fitted for customised internal installation such as mounting flanges and system accessories.
Offering easier installation and user friendliness than previous models, the new TopConsole is modular and highly flexible. Connections to other members of the Rittal System family at the human machine interface can easily be made such as the Comfort Panel and industrial workstations. TopConsole display units can also be deployed as standalone units in connection with wall mounting brackets.
