New hybrid stepper motors from Danaher Motion offers up 40% more torque
New range performs significantly better than other stepper motors of the same size
Danaher Motion, the specialist in drive and control technology, has launched a new CT series of hybrid stepper motors which offer up to 40% more operational output torque compared with other components of a similar size.
The latest Danaher Motion series is ideally suited for a wide variety of uses requiring powerful miniature motors, such as medical applications, textile and semiconductor production and electronic manufacturing.
The improved performance has been achieved by improved stator, neodymium iron boron magnets that guarantee optimum torque density. An additional factor contributing to the higher ratio of torque to footprint is improved technology incorporated in the aluminium housing and larger front bearings. This results in exceptional heat dissipation and extremely high radial and axial load capabilities. Also, an O-ring in the bearing retainer helps to minimize noise levels.
The motors, which have a step size of 1.8°, are available in NEMA 17, 23 and 34 flange sizes . Various lengths are available for each flange size and the windings can be tailored to the particular application for which they are required.
