A new form of linear actuator has been developed by
Hoerbiger-Origa, that provides highly dynamic vertical motion of loads. Based on the belt-drive principle, the OPE-BV is designed so that the carriage is fixed and the cylinder moves - the reverse of the usual configuration. The load is placed at the lower end of the cylinder and may be a gripper jaw, such as is usedon small parts pick and place robots.
