Mooring contracts for Aker Kvaerner

Aker Kvaerner has been awarded contracts with a total value of approximately £1.6m for the delivery of advanced mooring systems to the offshore and marine industry.

The work is to be undertaken by the Aker Kvaerner subsidiary Aker Kvaerner Pusnes in Arendal.

The contracts include systems for the two advanced Aker Drilling H6e semi-submersible rigs to be built at Aker Kvaerner Stord and the five deepwater semi-submersible rigs to be built at Jurong's shipyard in Singapore.

The equipment will be manufactured in Europe and Asia and the delivery is scheduled for between 2007 and 2009.
