Mobily gives more work to Motorola

Motorola has signed a contract worth $150m with Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) to further expand Motorola’s GSM coverage in the north west and south west regions of Saudi Arabia.

Under the terms of the contract, Motorola will provide its GSM infrastructure solutions as well as services including network planning and operations and maintenance.

‘The network expansion that was put in place for the north west and south west regions of Saudi Arabia by Motorola last year has already helped Mobily to increase its subscriber base capacity, which will enable us to meet our business objectives,’ said Khalid Al-Kaf, CEO of Mobily.

Motorola has been working with Mobily since 2004.
