MMC AMEC has been awarded an engineering design contract to work in the Malampaya gas field by Shell Philippines Exploration.
The company, a joint venture between AMEC and MMC Oil and Gas, will provide project management, engineering and related services for an asset integrity and de-bottlenecking project on the gas field in the Philippines. The work will cover an integrated platform and onshore gas plant.
The contract, MMC AMEC’s first major business since forming in September 2007, is part of the Malampaya Deep Water Gas to Power development which is estimated to provide 30 per cent of the country’s electricity until 2022.
