Pursuit Dynamicshave signed a two-year licensing agreement covering the use of the PDX Basilisk decontamination technology.
The agreement will see EADS Defence & Security integrate the PDX Basilisk technology for chemical/biological decontamination, and disinfection solutions for military and civil use.
The PDX Basilisk is an airborne and surface decontamination system delivering a decontaminant mist that results in rapid surface area contact and full non-line-of-sight coverage.
PDX Basilisk can be used by armed forces and first-response units to decontaminate or disinfect personnel, equipment, aircraft and hospitals.
‘The combination of the EADS Defence & Security capabilities as a solution provider for Mobile Protection Solutions with the innovative PDX Basilisk technology will enable us to develop and field the next generation of decontamination systems,’ said Bernd Wenzler, CEO Defence Electronics, a division of EADS Defence & Security.
He added: ‘These systems will have the performance that is needed to protect our soldiers and our population against the increasing threat of chemical and biological attacks in the framework of military missions, as well as in the field of global security.’
