Miniflex spring couplings are the new hit in the recently re-launched catalogue of mechanical drive components specialist, Rino Industries Ltd of Chesterfield.
Miniflex spring couplings are completely flexible which are independent of the direction of rotation, the company states. The LM type is made from stainless steel flat wire and the springs are screwed into the light metal hub, whilst the ZG type is made from nickel plated spring steel wire and the springs are pushed into the zinc compression cast hub. Operating temperature is up to 120ºC for both couplings.
LM couplings start with 4mm bores increasing to 14mm and are available in six different sizes whilst ZG couplings come in just three different variations and are slightly smaller than the LM type, starting at 2mm bore size.
