Millions for mortars
The US Army has awarded General Dynamics an $18.6m contract modification for the manufacture, assembly, delivery, staging and fielding of M313 120mm Mortar Sub-Calibre Training Devices.

The US Army has awarded
an $18.6m contract modification for the manufacture, assembly, delivery, staging and fielding of M313 120mm Mortar Sub-Calibre Training Devices.
This option award brings the total contract value for 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortar weapon systems to $44.5m. The contract being modified was initially awarded in December 2005.
The M313 120mm Mortar Sub-Calibre Training Device uses an M253 81mm cannon inserted into a mock M120 120mm Mortar System barrel, allowing 120mm mortar training to be performed with lower cost 81mm service and training ammunition.
