has announced the release of a micro needle valve with M3 threaded inlet and hose barb outlet.
The new M3 threaded needle valve is designed and manufactured for applications where space, leak-tightness, durability, and lightweight are required.
It can be used to control mini-cylinders, nozzles, timing circuits, filling heads, bleed vents, and in many other metering applications. It weighs 2.26 grams and the installed height is about 10.4 mm.
The needle valve allows precise flow adjustment. The adjusted flow remains stable even during temperature fluctuations as the needle and valve seat are manufactured from stainless steel.
The valve body swivels 360 degrees to facilitate installation and orientation. The needle valve body is designed with “built-in-barbs” which saves space and reduces cost of connections and assembly time. The valve controls flows from 0 to 1 SCFM at 50 psig. The metal to metal seal provides positive shut-off to 25 in Hg.
Beswick says applications include hydrogen fuel cells, medical and dental and laboratory equipment, ink jet print engines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, toxic gas detectors, aerospace equipment, packaging machinery and industrial robots.
