Mercury to acquire Echotek

Mercury Computer Systems has signed an agreement to purchase Echotek Corporation for around $49 million.

The purchase seems a natural one for Mercury, since greater than 40% of Echotek's products are integrated into subsystems alongside those of Mercury itself.
Echotek’s product line is available in various form factors including PCI, VME, and PMC. Echotek also supports the RACEway and RapidIO fabrics, which ease the integration of Echotek mixed-signal modules into Mercury's computer systems.
